Runda Digital Day #02

RUNDA DIGITAL DAY #02 once again brings world music scene players to a regional conference Martin Mills, a legend of the indie scene and founder of the cult indie record label Beggars Banquet is a special guest on RDD #02

After a great success of the first edition of Runda Digital Day music biz conference, held in Belgrade, Ljubljana, and Zagreb last year, RRD #02 will happen again, this year in the same 3-day forme, but due to Covid 19 pandemic, all events will be streamed online.

The second edition on RDD will take place from Wednesday till Friday (02.12-04.-12.), broadcasting panels, presentations, and workshops via the following Facebook profiles – Runda, Indirekt Showcase, Hrvatska diskografska udruga, and many more. Also, it will be streamed through RundasYouTube channel, free to all who want to participate.

The general sponsor of the conference is Merlin, but RDD #02 is also supported by IMPALA, HDU, OFPS as well as Beograd’s Indirekt Showcase Festival being one of the partners.

Again, the conference is directed to records labels, musicians, music professionals, and all who want to know something more about the music industry. In three days Runda Digital Day #02 will host representatives from Merlin, Impala, WIN, CD Baby, PIAS, Beggers Banquet, Believe as well as many regional record labels, publishers, artists, promoters, and other representatives from music companies and organisations.

This year’s focus topics are: the situation after arriving of leading global digital services to the region, implementing the new copyright directive into the regional and European copyright laws, consequences and future after the Covid 19 pandemic and ongoing global discussion on diversity, inclusiveness and equality in the music industry.

Besides interesting presentations such as the one about the new global RDx base founded together by WIN and IFPI, IMPALA and CMU project ‘One step ahead’, and HDU digital application ‘Now is Digital’, or Merlin ‘One on One’; session, a workshop on always the hot subject of monetization on YouTube, surely biggest interest will be for interview with the RDD #02 special guest Martin Mills, founder of the Beggars Banquet, and todays president of the global indie group of labels – Beggars Group, that launched many great international stars like Radiohead, Adele, The White Stripes, The Pixies, The National, Prodigy and many more.
